Wednesday in Luino
Wander one of Europe’s historic open-air markets, held every Wednesday since 1541.
A private attic on the shore of Lake Maggiore
A bright, newly renovated retreat for four in the historic heart of Luino. The waterfront, ferry and your first Italian espresso are all just outside.
Your lake story starts here
Slow breakfasts under the skylights. A quiet room when you need one. An evening walk along the water without ever looking for the car keys.
Set on the top floor of a 1908 Liberty building, Casa Barozzi pairs the character of old Luino with the comfort of a home completely renovated in 2025. It is generous, calm and thoughtfully equipped — exactly what a few unhurried days on the lake should feel like.

for the way you live

Not simply somewhere to sleep
“The real luxury is feeling welcomed — and finding a little more than you expected.”
We are Luca and Claudia. We created Casa Barozzi to be the place you still talk about once you are home: personal, easy and full of small, thoughtful gestures.
Inside Casa Barozzi
Every room has its own rhythm. Together, they give couples, friends and families the rare freedom to share a holiday without sharing every moment.

The main bedroom
A comfortable double bed, soft daylight and the privacy to turn a long morning into part of the holiday.

The second bedroom
Two individual beds make this a true four-person home — ideal for children, friends or anyone who appreciates a peaceful night.

The kitchen
Fully equipped and easy to use, for market-day lunches, a bottle opened at sunset and everything in between.
A closer look
Luino, at your feet
Step outside and you are already there: on the promenade, in the centre, and moments from the ferry that turns Lake Maggiore into your daily itinerary.
Wander one of Europe’s historic open-air markets, held every Wednesday since 1541.
Sail to Cannobio, Cannero Riviera and Maccagno — no timetable planning, just lake views.
Locarno, Lugano, Laveno and the Borromean Islands are all within reach for an unforgettable day out.

1908 · Liberty Luino
Casa Barozzi was designed by architect Giuseppe Petrolo when Luino was a cosmopolitan railway town in full Belle Époque bloom. Its floral details and wrought-iron balconies still speak that language today.
Up under the roof, our contemporary home carries the story forward: respectful of its setting, relaxed in the way it welcomes you.
Made for real holidays
We want the practical part of your stay to disappear into the background, so you can spend your time where it belongs.
The attic is on the 3rd and top floor. A compact goods lift is available for guests and luggage; it is slower and smaller than a conventional elevator.
The public car park opposite is paid until 19:00 and unavailable on Wednesday during the market. Your free private parking space is 450 m away. The bathroom has a shower and handheld wash spray, but no bidet.
The essentials
Still wondering about something? Luca and Claudia answer personally — in Italian or English.
Ask us a question ↗Up to four guests: one double bedroom and one bedroom with two single beds. The entire apartment is always yours, whether you travel as one, two, three or four.
You have a free private space 450 m from the apartment. For arrival, stop in the public car park opposite the building to unload your luggage easily.
Not for Luino. The lakefront, old town, restaurants, shops, buses and ferry are all a short walk away. A car is useful only for more remote day trips.
There is a compact goods lift suitable for guests and luggage. It is slower and narrower than a standard passenger lift; contact us if you have specific accessibility needs.
